Even before the model homes were built at Sawmill we were determined to live here and poured over the available floor plans.

We've now lived here for over 5 years and are delighted with our choice. We feel very safe here, we know all of our neighbours, enjoy the events, outings, and gatherings that we arrange from time to time. In addition to golf, we enjoy meals at the club, the fitness facilities and swimming pool. We feel like we are on a permanent vacation!"

"It is the sense of community that makes living in the Residences of Sawmill Creek such a special experience. Yes the sunset views from our deck overlooking the 10th fairway, lying by the resort pool, playing an immaculate golf course, enjoying a Spa treatment or a delicious meal in one of three venues at the club are all spectacular, but in the end it is the people here that make this more than just a place to live and play golf. We have met so many people that we now call very good friends here. Many are fellow residents but they also include the staff and other golf course members. It really does have a feel of the close knit community that it has become. All are welcome to participate in the various activities, from residents golf tournaments, themed dinners, Croquet on the practice green or, once golf ends, the lively dart league in Braveheart's Pub. At the same time our privacy is never compromised and no one is pressured to participate in any event.

While this is a golf community and golf is certainly a focus we have many non golfers amongst us and they are always included and welcomed. Our home has been everything and more that we dreamt it would be way back in 2005 when we started to work with the Golfvest team in designing what has turned out to be our true dream home. The end result is that we are living a lifestyle that has surpassed our original vision and we are looking forward to a long and happy future living in this community as it continues to improve like a fine wine."

"We stumbled on Sawmill Creek in one of those golf magazines that you pick up at a restaurant while having an early breakfast before golf. The article showed pictures of the links style golf course and the existing housing including detached homes and condos. It also included the on-site facilities like the three restaurants, the proshop, the salt water swimming pool, and the fitness room.

We have found that everything mentioned in the article was bang on and the club staff and our neighbours have far exceeded our expectations. It is like living the dream at a resort every day of the week and realizing this is the way you will spend your future. We enjoy being able to play 18 holes and then relax in the clubhouse for refreshments and food. From there it is only steps away to our house and not the long drive home we have endured for the past ten years playing golf all over Southwestern Ontario.

We Came - We Saw - We Stayed

It started simply as a Sunday visit to the Sawmill Creek real estate open house and ended with a major lifestyle change. We had been looking at downsizing and condos were an option, but they all came with limitations; sometimes it was a lack of storage, some times it was the view and sometimes it was the lack of indoor parking. One thing was consistent we would have had to move into a larger urban community and accept what was offered. At Sawmill Creek we could choose the house style and layout that worked for us and customize the interior. The first house we toured had us in a state of shock. There was a basement, there was indoor parking, the layout was spacious and there was a view. We were coming from a large two story house on the lake and all these items were important.

Golfvest introduced us to their team and this team covered all the basis from the builder, to interior design up to the facility management team. We were impressed. The amenities were terrific; golf, seasonal swimming, indoor fitness room, lawn maintenance, snow removal, a complete spa facility and 3 licensed restaurants. No more raking of leaves and after a long day at work, no cooking. Once we had determined that this was the right move for us the Golfvest team worked to help choose the right home, the right finishing details and an achievable schedule right up to move-in-day. Throughout the customizing process there were no surprises. When move in day came the house was ready for the final walk-through and we were happy.

We are only 15 minutes from Sarnia, Petrolia and Forest and only 5 minutes from Brights Grove for all shopping, banking and lifestyle needs. Since we moved in there have been no regrets and we haven't looked back. Our lawn is cut and weeds are trimmed every week like clockwork, the snow is shoveled before we leave for work, and if we don't want to cook dinner we just go up front and pick a restaurant. Sawmill Creek even covers the basis for special events and Holidays. So what do we say to anyone that asks how we like living at Sawmill Creek - "what's not to like? We love it!".
