Initiation Fee
September 1, 2007
Dear Member:
Thank you for your overwhelming support of our golf club. After our fall membership drive, along with setting aside approximately 100 memberships for future home owners, we will be very close to obtaining our optimum number of members.
Beginning January 1st, 2008, all NEW members of the club will be required to pay an initiation fee of $3,000.
The most important message to you, our existing members, who have shown such substantial support for the club, is that you will not have to pay an initiation fee as long as you keep your annual dues current. We will be providing you with a Membership Certificate in due course.
There are intangible benefits to being a member. There is a special sense of belonging, a sense that all members are building a club for the long term, a sense that new friends will be friends for life. We also believe our new swimming pool will make the club more attractive to families.
It is our plan to make your membership transferable and saleable. If you are unable to continue your membership at Sawmill Creek, we have provisions to allow you to transfer your membership to a new member. This is our way of thanking all of the current members for their support.
Attached are some FAQ's that we feel may be on the minds of our members. We believe that this revised membership program is a great step forward for your golf club. For existing members there are only positive benefits. If you know of people who have been sitting on the fence about joining, please tell them that now is the time to become a member at Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa, for next year there will be an initiation fee.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Tony Griffi, in the pro shop, or me.
Yours sincerely,
SAWMILL CREEK GOLF RESORT & SPA
